Boko Haram militants this morning released 106 of the Dapchi girls kidnapped from Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State, some weeks ago in the North Eastern part of Nigeria, but five have been confirmed dead.
A source confirmed that the first set of the kidnapped girls were released this morning in nine vehicles same way they took them.
It is not known if any ransom was paid by the federal government to secure the freedom of the girls.
The News agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the rescued Dapchi schoolgirls have been taken to the General Hospital in Dapchi for profiling by the military.
NAN also reported that vehicles have been stationed at the hospital to transport the girls to Damaturu
